Class: Botanical Pumpkin Decorating

Come join us as we celebrate the season by making our own beautiful flower-adorned pumpkins, using our collection of pressed florals and a handmade (stovetop) non-toxic glue that preserves our creations throughout the fall season and beyond. Spend a joyful and beauty-filled hour among kindred flower-loving spirits and leave with your very own all-natural botanical centerpiece.

As we enter the colder winter months, we're immersing ourselves in the beautiful technique of painting with thread, using Emilie Ferris' gorgeous book as our guide. Whether you're embarking on learning how to embroider or are just reading for inspiration, you'll find Ferris' book a delightful way to step into the winter season. Gardening season may be over, but we can still spend an hour immersed in floral beauty. Join us as we make pressed floral gift tags for the holidays - choose your favorite blossoms and foliage from our pressed flower collection and decorate up to 10 gift tags for friends and loved ones this holiday season. Come play with flowers and get ahead on your holiday to-do list!

Class: Painting the Winter Garden

Even in the midst of December, the garden is full of beauty if we take the time to notice. Inspired by the real life foliage and seed pods from the Sew & Bloom garden (possibilities include pine, sage, sedum, azalea, goldenrod, and more), we'll discuss and practice basic watercolor floral painting techniques and then bring our winter floral still lifes to life.

Film Club: A Little Chaos

Our Sew & Bloom film club is devoted to watching our hand-picked film favorites - all featuring uplifting stories centered around a garden or gardening theme. Our pick for January is 2014's A Little Chaos, set in 1682 in the gardens of Versaille and starring Kate Winslet. Watch ahead and then join us to discuss your take. Class: Botanical Scent Journey

Take a break from the winter cold and treat yourself to a transportive floral scent journey in our botanical oasis. Using our bestselling floral perfume oils as a guide, we'll sample each scent, journal our reflections, and share our thoughts on favorite fragrances, memories they evoke, and dreams they inspire. Each attendee will take home a botanical journal of their choice and a perfume oil in their favorite floral scent ($18 value).

In this coldest of months, we're slowing down to immerse ourselves in the surreal art and craft of Katerina Knight who spends her winters creating ethereal textiles by stitching together wildflowers, dried petals, and seed pods grown in her summer garden. Did you know that you can celebrate a special birthday, family reunion, or team milestone with us? We've hosted everything from a gals' night birthday celebration to a work team bonding outing to a family workshop for three generations. We will tailor the class to your group's interests. Examples of possible workshops include:

Celebrating a birthday by creating a floral still life - Each attendee paints a flower in honor of the birthday guest and then everyone collages their flowers onto a shared keepsake canvas - a joyful, memorable, and fun-filled way to make new memories and celebrate a special day!

Team bonding through fast bouquet painting - Everyone loves this workshop where we tap into our inner artists through expressive floral painting. People see new sides of their colleagues, appreciate all their collective creative abilities, and everyone leaves with their very own floral masterpiece memento of this shared experience.

Celebrating family togetherness by creating a family bouquet - each attendee paints their birth month flower and then everyone collages their flower into a collective family bouquet that can be framed as a symbol of family love and a memento of this shared time together.
